Teeth Whitening

What teeth whitening does
Whitening lightens the shade of your natural teeth using a bleaching agent applied under dental supervision. It does not change the colour of fillings, crowns or veneers, so your dentist will check these before you start.
Who it suits
Whitening works best on teeth that have darkened from tea, coffee, age or smoking. It is not suitable for everyone. Active decay, gum disease and very sensitive teeth should be treated or discussed first.
What to expect
- An examination and, if needed, a cleaning so the whitening agent works evenly
- A shade check before treatment, so you can see the difference afterwards
- Protection for your gums while the agent is applied
Some people notice temporary sensitivity for a day or two. Your dentist will explain how to manage it.
How long do results last?
This varies from person to person. Drinks like tea and coffee, and smoking, can bring the colour back sooner. Good brushing and regular cleaning help you keep the result for longer.
Cleaning and whitening together
A professional cleaning before whitening is usually recommended. See our current offers for a combined scaling, polishing and whitening package.
T-Dent Dental Clinic sees patients in North Nazimabad and at the Water Pump branch in Karachi, including patients who travel from North Karachi and nearby areas. Dr. Touseef Khan will examine you first, explain the options in plain language and agree the plan with you before any treatment starts.
